Children have so much energy and I absolutely love it! It’s always a treat for me when I am able to let my hair down and feel the sand between my toes. This Sunday was exactly that: no schedules or timelines; just plain old fun on the beach.
Nick shook my hand like an adult when I first met him and shy is the last word I would use to describe him. He is outgoing, full of energy and he unequivocally loves the beach. His blue eyes turned on like high beams in the fog when we starting talking about the beach. He said it’s his favorite thing to do. He even mentioned his boogie board a few times, “Mom, I should have brought my boogie board.”
Nick started the session with some hand built sand castles, but he couldn’t keep his eyes off the water. So eventually that’s where he ended up, clothes and all. After a few posed pictures on the beach we walked up to the grassy park just above the water. And that’s when he began to roll down the grass like a steam engine. Luckily we got a few nice pictures before the grass stains set in. I even got a few myself!
I am so glad Nick’s mom won my portrait session at the St. Michael’s spring festival. It was such a joy to meet Nick, his mother and grandmother. And best of all Nick and I talked about going to school at St. Michael’s. I think he was a little surprised when I told him I went to school there too.

This is adorable! Nicholas looks so cute – we’re definitely going to have to hang out more, it was lovely seeing him at Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Great pictures!
Great pictures, Nicholas looks like a model. So handsome.
