Did you know the word, grit, is a noun meaning courage or determination?
I sure didn’t. When I came across it in the thesaurus I knew it was the perfect fit for my title to this post. The first two words are self-explanatory after you view the pictures, but where does grit fit in?
Since our travels around Europe and Asia I have wanted to explore and capture more of my own turf here in the United States, and luckily for me I had some personal camera time this June. For me the grit is the courage to post what I love the most; and that is grainy sepia-toned photographs. Don’t get me wrong I love color, but black and white images are what I photograph for.
