It wasn’t an easy decision, but VanHatten Photography works exclusively for Forks Corks and Brews now.
After 15 years of taking portraits for clients around the globe VanHatten Photo has committed to taking pictures of delicious, home-cooked food as well as, wine, coffee, beer and well-crafted cocktails.
“It’s been a fun transition and I’m learning all about studio light. There’s more control in the studio and my subjects typically don’t move as much”, says Jackie VanHatten with a smirk.
One thing Jackie enjoys most about food photography is being able to eat what she photographs. She says she’s learned not to photograph on an empty stomach.
Jackie has always been a foodie and food research is a big part of that.
She knows where good food comes from and enjoys making food packed with flavor and nutrition. She prepares food that tastes good while being healthy and nutritious. In addition, she loves experimenting with new and exciting cocktail recipes.
